family SAFARI-2024

Kenya Safari Family Adventure

This family safari to the Maasai Mara and Amboseli offers an immersive journey through Kenya's renowned wildlife reserves, combining adventure, conservation, cultural heritage and family-friendly activities. Both the Maasai Mara and Amboseli feature stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife in very different environments - the Mara is a lush grassland whilst Amboseli is an ancient floodplain sitting at the base iof Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy game drives, guided walks, and visits to local communities and conservation projects that are rooted in wildlife preservation and sustainable tourism.

Amboseli

The iconic, snow-clad peak of Kilimanjaro towers above Amboseli National Park. Seasonal fluctuations in Lake Amboseli create a dynamic environment, with dry, shimmering surfaces in the dry season and shallow floodplains during the rainy season. The park's central swamps, fed by underground rivers from the mountain, attract a concentration of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, diverse birdlife, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and predators like lions and cheetahs. Cultural interactions with the Maasai who have coexisted with wildlife in this area for hundreds of years offer insights into their traditional lifestyle.

Nairobi

East Africa's largest city is a melting pot of cultures, and has vibrant nightlife and a rapidly growing arts scene. Its wealthier suburbs, which border the magnificent Nairobi National Park, are cloaked in history

Maasai Mara

The Mara river basin- which is an extension of the Serengeti  ecosystem and one of the world's largest grasslands - make up some of the oldest and least disturbed natural environments on earth.  The perennial flowing Mara river across the two ecosystems provides its' life giving waters which in turn provide unparalleled wildlife viewing. Whether exploring by game drive or by hot air balloon, a visit to the Maasai Mara promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of wild Africa.
